hi brandi -
Thanks for all the compliments first and foremost. I’ve put in a lot of time and effort to get my blog looking the way it does. I don’t know how helpful I can be because a lot of the things you’ve mentioned were made with Photoshop and Illustrator. I’m not sure if you have access to those programs or ones similar to them? I usually make the images there, load them into photobucket to format them to html and go from there. It’s A LOT of trial and error.
It’s pretty easy to get a background image on yours, depending on the theme you use. My theme {which is called Springfield} gives you the option to upload an image which it tiles across the background. It looks like this:
The most important thing is to select an image with a repetitive pattern. You can find some here and here. You CAN do it manually, but I don’t know how familiar or comfortable you are with HTML.
This shows you how to set up your blog so that people can ask you questions on your blog.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
xo,
Kyle
